There comes a time in every life when the choice to either be crushed by heartaches and disappointments or stand up again presents itself. At this point in my life, Miss Independent was born.
I am a perpetually single 30-something doing my best to embrace the pros of living the single life (and there are many!) This doesn’t mean I have no aspirations to one day have the picket fence, handsome husband with 2.5 kids happily ever after scenario. I just choose to not let my dreams ruin my today.
After all, it’s like they say, “when you’re single, all you see is happy couples. When you’re committed, all you see is happy singles.” It’s my aim to be a happy single, until, well, I’m no longer single!
