Breakup Tip #35

Valentine’s day is around the corner…(insert death march now-just kidding!)

For those with significant others, Valentine’s Day is a day to celebrate the love they have with that person. However, when we’re single Valentine ’s Day or “ V-day” as I like to refer to it as, can be rather unwelcome. We get it, when we’re in a relationship we love V-day but, when we’re not we dread it. Simple as that.

Now, let’s add a breakup to the equation and BOOM, it’s like Valentine’s Day just became your worst nightmare, can I get an Amen?

Having your heartbroken right before V-day or worse on Valentine’s Day can be crushing; you suddenly realize you’re going to have to deal with hundreds of happy couples just flaunting their cuteness in front of you. Makes you sick, right? Well, it doesn’t have to.

Valentine’s day can be better than you think, no one said you have to spend it with the person you love, just people you love, so why not spend this Valentine’s day with those (wonderful single) friends that don’t care if you have a boyfriend or not. Hey, remember that bottle of champagne you were saving for a special occasion? Well, guess what…this is it!

Crack open the bubbly and have a good time with those that really do care about you. Who wants to spend Valentine’s Day with someone who doesn’t appreciate them anyway? I don’t, and neither should you. So, don’t let this holiday get you down, take it in your stride and enjoy it without the commitment of a man who will only end up disappointing you.

Have fun, Ladies!

Love,

Miss Behaving xox
